OHIO VALLEY GAS LINE SERVICES
Gas Line Installation and Repair for Ohio Valley Homes — Licensed Master Plumber
Gas work is safety work — there’s no room for shortcuts, and no place for an unlicensed handyman. Joe’s Better Plumbing brings the right credentials to every gas line job across the Ohio Valley — our master-plumber-trained team works under a licensed master plumber: new lines for appliances, repairs to existing lines, extensions for a grill or fire pit, and leak detection done right to current codes.
Why the License Matters
A gas line that’s installed or repaired incorrectly isn’t a leak you live with — it’s a hazard. That’s why our gas work is performed under a licensed master plumber who knows the code. We treat every gas job as the safety-critical work it is: properly sized, properly tested, properly documented. If you smell gas, leave and call from outside, and a real person will answer any hour.

Repair, Rebuild, Replace
Gas work follows the same honest framework as the rest of what we do. Repair is a joint repair, a valve replacement, or a regulator fix when the line is otherwise sound. Rebuild is a line-section replacement or sleeving to address a compromised run. Replace is a full line installation for a new appliance, or a full system replacement when the existing gas piping is past its service life. Whatever the scope, the work is sized right, pressure-tested, and inspected where applicable.
Common Gas Line Jobs
Most gas line calls fall into a few categories — all performed under our licensed master plumber, with permits and inspections included:
New appliance lines. A gas line for a new range, dryer, water heater, or furnace — sized to the appliance, run cleanly, and tested before it’s put into service.
Leak detection and repair. If you suspect a leak, we locate it, repair it, and verify the system is tight. Safety-critical work, done by the book.
Line extensions. A new run to an outdoor grill, fire pit, garage heater, or generator — extending your gas system safely to where you want it.
Straightforward Pricing
Every visit begins with our $98 dispatch fee, which covers the trip, a 62-point plumbing inspection, and a written set of options before any work begins. Gas line work is priced clearly once our plumber has assessed the job and requirements — you’ll know the cost before any work starts. Club members pay half the dispatch fee ($49), get a 10% discount on the work, and receive doubled warranties.
Licensed, Permitted, Done Right
With gas, ‘done cheap’ and ‘done right’ are not the same thing — and the difference is safety. Our master-plumber-trained team does gas work to code under a licensed master plumber, and stands behind it. We answer the phone 24 hours a day with a real person, we arrive when we say we will, and we don’t cut corners on the work that keeps your family safe. That’s the Better Plumbing standard.

Gas Line Installation & Repair FAQs
Yes. New appliance lines — ranges, dryers, water heaters, furnaces — are one of our most common gas jobs. We size the line to the appliance, run it cleanly, pressure-test it, and inspect before it goes into service.
Leave the home, avoid switches and flames, and call from outside or from a neighbor’s. A real person answers our phone 24 hours a day. If it’s an active emergency, contact your gas utility’s emergency line first — then call us to locate and repair the source.
Every visit starts with the $98 dispatch fee (half-off for Club members), which covers the trip, the inspection, and a written set of options. Gas line cost depends on the job, the run, and requirements, quoted upfront before any work begins.
